Another late post!

Well apparently I am terrible at this whole blogging once a week thing. I think I feel like i'm repeating myself half the time but things are starting to change a little and I have some things on my mind today so ya know I figured its time for another post. We had a doctors appt this morning and everything is looking good. We had a ultrasound last week while we were visiting Blaine's family and his dad is pretty sure that we are having a little Boy! Now my actual doctor couldn't tell anything with the pictures I showed her so of course I am very nervous but we have a sonogram appt on the 10th to confirm the gender. But is it terrible that I want it to be a little boy so bad I'm afraid I'll be disappointed if its not?!? I know its sounds awful but I just think I got so excited when we thought it was a boy and now that my doctor seems doubtful i guess I'm just nervous and ready to know for sure and get things moving along! Ok well theres my little spout now on to the update.

How far along? 17 weeks

Updates on baby: Our little baby is now the size of an onion!! And very possibly a little boy!!

Symptoms/Body Changes: I was told yesterday that my belly has popped so i guess I officially look pregnant now. I still don't have a ton of symptoms just getting tired way to quickly, running to the restroom all the time, and the very regular need to eat every few hours! The doctor did say today that I have some protein in my urine which can be signs to different thing but she said that it is a small amount and i have no other symptoms so they are going to monitor it closely and told me to drink more water... which i dont know if that is possible but I guess i will try!

Movement: still no movement but i'm waiting for the day to come

Cravings/Aversions: still no cravings until someone mentions something... then I either really want it or don't even want to think about it LOL! Well and I will basically take chocolate or milk anytime... the chocolate really isn't a change from before being pregnant but I haven't drank this much milk since i was a child!

Getting ready for baby: Still no baby prep going on but we're getting closer to being able to have that garage sale to finish cleaning out the room that will become the nursery. And we are getting close to leaving Gibbs out of the Kennel which is a huge step in that process considering his Kennel takes up half the room!

What I miss: I miss being able to do the smallest things with out feeling exhausted!

What I am looking forward to: I'm looking forward to really getting to work on things and feeling like this baby is going to be here soon because right now it still feels so far away!

Weekly wisdom: I don't think i have any wisdom today... nothing inspiring!

14 weeks

I know I managed to some how skip another week of updates! It's been a tiring week between getting sick and work and helping a friend start planning her wedding! But luckily I am in the more energized phase of this pregnancy!

How far along? 14 weeks

Updates on baby: Now our little baby is about the size of a Lemon and growing everyday!!

Symptoms/Body Changes: Def. feeling the expanding stomach these days. People who don't see me everyday can't really tell a whole lot yet but I can tell and most people who see me all the time can see a change as well.

Movement: No movement yet but I know its coming!!

Cravings/Aversions: I still don't feel like I've really had any cravings. I just know what does or doesn't sound good once someone says something. But there isn't anything that I just have to have!

Getting ready for baby: Still no new things on the preparation front but I'm sure we'll get a lot more excited about that part once we find out what this little baby is!

What I miss: I miss being able to cough or sneeze without it hurting my belly! I know its silly but with being sick has not been pleasant!

What I am looking forward to: This hasn't changed I'm ready to find out what were having!!!

Weekly wisdom: Don't even both mentioning how you don't like the way you looking now that your growing because if your family is like mine they will just go on and on about how cute it is even if you don't think so! Also don't feel bad if you don't love being pregnant... some women do and some women don't and there is nothing wrong with it either way!

12 weeks

Yes I know I skipped week 11 but we were in the Bahamas on a cruise and just enjoying a vacation so I'll just skip that week but really nothing has changed between then in now so no worries you're not missing anything. And no worries I'll make a post about our vacation too!

How far along? 12
weeks

Updates on baby: The baby is now the size of a lime! It still blows my mind to think about how much this little precious baby is growing inside me!! We heard it's heartbeat yesterday while at the doctor and it measured at 166bpm. very strong little heart for our baby :)

Symptoms/Body Changes: The last couple of weeks I haven't felt pregnant AT ALL! Which of course has made it a bit paranoid!!! But I've been feeling great so I am very thankful!

Movement: Still no movement! And the doctor told me it'd probably be another month or two before I could really feel it. Not really the news I wanted to hear but I know it's all in the process!

Cravings/Aversions: I haven't really been having cravings the last couple of weeks which is probably because i was a on cruise where i could eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted LOL!! I did very well not over doing it though and I ate salads and fruit everyday to balance it all out! But no cravings for me!

Getting ready for baby: Yeah we haven't done anything since cleaning out the room a bit a few weeks ago.

What I miss: Since I haven't been feeling very pregnant I dont really miss anything at this point. Still wish I had a bit more energy but that's really about it.

What I am looking forward to: I can not wait to go have another ultrasound and find out the sex of our little bundle of joy!!! I think once that happens I will be getting lots more done!

Weekly wisdom: Don't be paranoid!!! It's so easy to get worried and nervous about everything little thing but really all you can do is pray and listen to the doctor and trust that your little baby is growing happy in healthy even when you can't feel it!

10 weeks

I'm in the middle of my 10th week and I think I get excited more and more each day. I'm a quater of the way through and I still feel like I just found out! My post for week 11 will probably be a little later because I will be on a cruise next week but I won't skip it I promise!

How far along? 10 weeks

Updates on baby: This week the baby is about the size of a kumquat. It is only about an inch long and still weighs little to nothing. But organs are growing and even fingernails are forming. It still blows my mind the miracle of growing a baby!

Symptoms/Body Changes: Nothing has really change although I feel bigger then i did last week even though I'm sure i'm the only one who can really tell. But still no morning sickness which has been so wonderful!
Movement: Still No movement but I am patiently waiting. A little less patiently everyday but I know It'll happen when its supposed to and it'll all be with it. I just can't wait for that daily confirmation and affirmation that everything is going good.

Cravings/Aversions: I've had a few cravings here and there but its never the same things. It just hits and I know exactly what I wants to eat!

Getting ready for baby: We cleaned out the nursery to be and stored a bunch of stuff away in the attic this past weekend. It's still full of stuff but its all stuff for the upcoming garage sale!

What I miss: Being able to stay up past 9 to watch castle! I fade so quickly come evening times it makes it very hard to stay awake past 9 or even 8 somedays!

What I am looking forward to: At this point I just want to go back to the doctor and hear that little heartbeat again and be reassured that everything is progressing just the way it should be.

Weekly wisdom: Don't let what is happening in everyone else pregnancy or previous pregnancy make you wish differently for your own. Everyone is different and yours is special in every way because it is yours!

Well that's all for now!! Lots to do this week to get ready for our cruise! But I am so excited to vacation and just enjoy some time with the hubby!!

9 Weeks

Well not much has changed since last week but I thought I would update anyway just in case their are people out their that are reading and interested!

How far along? 9 weeks

Updates on baby: This week the baby is about the size of a green olive. It is growing and making lots of important parts right now which is making mommy very tired!

Symptoms/Body Changes: This is all about the same as well. Still no morning sickness (thank you Lord) and still very tired and lots of indigestion. I feel like I'm growing already but I think alot of it is bloating however its made a nice excuse to buy a few new pieces of clothing!

Movement: Still No movement but I am patiently waiting.

Cravings/Aversions: Still no cravings, although I have been lots of veggies and salads. Still not a fan of crackers or anything that is really dry like crackers.

Getting ready for baby: Yeah we haven't done anything in preparation for baby finley this week but we have lots of time!

What I miss: I dont think I miss anything yet... sleeping better this week so i'm a pretty happy camper currently! (talk to me again in a few weeks when I'm on a cruise and can't eat the seafood or enjoy the hot tub)

What I am looking forward to: Everything!! I'm ready and excited for everything that this pregnancy and baby have to offer!

Weekly wisdom: REST! You don't think you'll get as tired as easily until it hits you when your in the middle of doing something and it makes you sleep for like 12 hours that night cause you didn't rest during the day like you know you should! Yes I am guilty!

Well there you have it! Things are going right along and I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks to come and go so i can have some energy back! And I'm really excited about the cruise we're taking in a couple weeks! It's going to be a wonderful vacation!!!

8 weeks

We finally announced to the world yesterday that Blaine and I are expecting our first child come September and we are so excited!!! Another Blogger that I follow has been doing this to track different things through out her pregnancy and I just love the idea and decided I wanted to do it myself! So here we go! (I was going to add a picture but it won't upload hopefully I'll get it figured out to add later)

How far along? 8 weeks

Updates on baby: Baby is about the size of a Kidney Bean (just over 1/2 an inch long) We got to see our little Gummy bear as I like to call it cause thats what it kinda looks like at this point (if I get the pic loaded you'll understand) and hear it's heartbeat for the first time yesterday! We were even able to see it wiggle a little during the ultrasound!

Symptoms/Body Changes: I'm counting myself very lucky in the fact that I'v had no morning sickness as of yet and i have my fingers crossed for it to stay that way. I'm pretty tired most days and have lots of indigestion. And Although it's probably TMI for most constipation has been a battle from the beginning as well. Other then that things are business as usual.

Movement: No movement has been felt yet but as i said we did see a bit with the ultrasound which was awesome!

Cravings/Aversions: Pasta is the closest thing I've had to a craving. I don't really crave it but it just tends to be the only thing that sounds good right off the bat other wise the food has to be in front of me before it sounds good. I'm having some aversions to textures, I ate crackers a lot at first because they were an easy snack I can carry with me but the texture of crackers or anything that is that dry just does not sound good at all!

Getting ready for baby: We got the first step done and got our attic floored last weekend so that we can begin cleaning out our extra room that has been used as storage/dog room up to this point. So now we just have to go through everything and train the dog to not be locked up in the kennel... JOY!

What I miss: Sleeping like a rock! I have always been such a hard sleeper but now I have to get up to pee at night and I have dreams that wake me up and it's just not nice! I miss my solid 8 hours of sleep! But i guess that's what naps are for and I've decided it'd god's way of preparing me to not be a hard sleep so i can hear the baby cry in the middle of the night.

What I am looking forward to: Being able to feel the baby! Right now I just have to wait till doctors appt to make sure everything is going well and I just can't wait to feel the baby and have those little reassuring kicks to know that the baby is happy in healthy!

Weekly wisdom: My husband has been the most amazing helper for me in these last few weeks and I just have to say that all of his hard work and caring words are so appreciated and I try to show him that cause I couldn't do any of this without him.

2011 Recap

I decided it would be fun to recap 2011 with some photos and just some memories from the past year. The year had its ups and downs but it was a great year overall!! Lets set the stage for where we were at this time last year. January 2011 Blaine and I still lived in our Apartment, he still worked on the air force base and I was still with the child care center in edmond. We had our Cat Bella and we're just beginning the search for a house. We were both happy with life and our jobs and just enjoying our lives together.

Because of my job at the time we got to attend our first Thunder Game. Where we both realized that while we support the Thunder we both would much rather be at a college football game!

Then a few months later we celebrated Easter! And as usual we did our celebrating with the Killebrews. Each year they put on a Massive Easter Egg Hunt and let all of us "Kids" partake, well this year it rained but did that stop us (them I should say I didn't run around in the rain) nope it sure didn't. So easter was spent hunting eggs in the rain and then with lots of hot chocolate to warm up afterwards!
Then in April we bought our First House!! We are so happy with the house we chose! It really is Home for us and we couldn't be happier! We've already made some wonderful memories in this home and we are sure there are many more to come in the passing years!

Then in May we Celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! It was hard to believe that we had already been married a year but it was a wonderful year and I wouldn't change it for the world! We spent our day enjoy our wedding cake topper which actually still tasted good and then we enjoy a nice dinner at Mickey Mantles Steak house downtown! It was a wonderful end to an amazing first year!

Then the summer rolled around and we spent an awesome Memorial day weekend in nebraska with family and those two adorable boys! At that point in the year they were the only nephews on blaine's side of the family but by the end of 2011 that is not the case :)

Then later in the summer I got to go to the AMERICAN IDOL concert with my bestest friend Michelle! OMG we had so much fun!! It had been a while since we had gone to a concert but it was a blast and we even got lots of autographs which was awesome!!

In august we celebrated Blaine and Joseph's 25th Birthdays with a big party and an awesome cake that I came up with and our favorite cake lady created! It was an amazing way to celebrate two very special men on their birthday!

And then later in August we got our adorable little guy Gibbs!! He is so much fun and we have loved having a dog in the house and just all the love and affection and protection he provides! Don't let this picture fool you because now Gibbs is bigger than some adult labs and weighs 75 pounds and he is only 7 months old! He is going to be our very BIG boy! But we love him!

I dont have a lot of pictures for fall but we spent fall traveling to Nebraska alot and enjoying time with family, throwing baby showers, and just enjoying life. October did not end well for us when we returned home from one of those trips to find our house had been broken into but we were blessed in the fact that he took nothing of value and was soon caught, like I said ups and downs this year! But anyways, In November we celebrated this little guys (Eli) 1st birthday! And we just spent a ton of time with him over the year! He is such a joy and I can't believe how big is he already!
Also in November we welcomed Ethan and Aiden (our new nephews) into the world! So now their are four nephews on Blaine's side of the family and we're still not done for the year! These little guys are just precious and we got to enjoy lots of time with them over thanksgiving and over christmas this year!
And then the Christmas season begins! We had a wonderful christmas season! Spent lots of time with family, did lots of shopping, and cooking and baking! we really are very blessed with the people we have in our lives and that is always very apparent to me around the holidays!! And of course what Christmas Season is complete with out a trip to a pretty light show with friends!

And then comes the week before christmas! We traveled to Nebraska to be with Blaine's family this christmas and we all received the most wonderful gift when Blaine's sister had her little baby girl Tempey! She is just precious and we were so glad to spend lots of snuggle time with her over the holiday!! So to just recap all the children that were added to the family this year, we had three, two nephews and one Niece now for total of four nephews and one niece on that side of the family! christmas was def. fun this year!

Since we started off with a small intro to where we were this time last year I thought we should end with a small bit of where we are now. Now we live in our wonderful home that we love, Blaine still works at the air force base and has no intention of changing that anytime soon. I now work for a nanny service in edmond and I love my job! It was a huge change for me but it has been so worth it and I am so much happier than before! So that is just a small recap of our 2011! It was a wonderful year with lots of blessings and friends! We are so thankful for all the things we got to experience this year and we are so excited for the things that 2012 has in store for us.
