9 Weeks

Well not much has changed since last week but I thought I would update anyway just in case their are people out their that are reading and interested!

How far along? 9 weeks

Updates on baby: This week the baby is about the size of a green olive. It is growing and making lots of important parts right now which is making mommy very tired!

Symptoms/Body Changes: This is all about the same as well. Still no morning sickness (thank you Lord) and still very tired and lots of indigestion. I feel like I'm growing already but I think alot of it is bloating however its made a nice excuse to buy a few new pieces of clothing!

Movement: Still No movement but I am patiently waiting.

Cravings/Aversions: Still no cravings, although I have been lots of veggies and salads. Still not a fan of crackers or anything that is really dry like crackers.

Getting ready for baby: Yeah we haven't done anything in preparation for baby finley this week but we have lots of time!

What I miss: I dont think I miss anything yet... sleeping better this week so i'm a pretty happy camper currently! (talk to me again in a few weeks when I'm on a cruise and can't eat the seafood or enjoy the hot tub)

What I am looking forward to: Everything!! I'm ready and excited for everything that this pregnancy and baby have to offer!

Weekly wisdom: REST! You don't think you'll get as tired as easily until it hits you when your in the middle of doing something and it makes you sleep for like 12 hours that night cause you didn't rest during the day like you know you should! Yes I am guilty!

Well there you have it! Things are going right along and I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks to come and go so i can have some energy back! And I'm really excited about the cruise we're taking in a couple weeks! It's going to be a wonderful vacation!!!

8 weeks

We finally announced to the world yesterday that Blaine and I are expecting our first child come September and we are so excited!!! Another Blogger that I follow has been doing this to track different things through out her pregnancy and I just love the idea and decided I wanted to do it myself! So here we go! (I was going to add a picture but it won't upload hopefully I'll get it figured out to add later)

How far along? 8 weeks

Updates on baby: Baby is about the size of a Kidney Bean (just over 1/2 an inch long) We got to see our little Gummy bear as I like to call it cause thats what it kinda looks like at this point (if I get the pic loaded you'll understand) and hear it's heartbeat for the first time yesterday! We were even able to see it wiggle a little during the ultrasound!

Symptoms/Body Changes: I'm counting myself very lucky in the fact that I'v had no morning sickness as of yet and i have my fingers crossed for it to stay that way. I'm pretty tired most days and have lots of indigestion. And Although it's probably TMI for most constipation has been a battle from the beginning as well. Other then that things are business as usual.

Movement: No movement has been felt yet but as i said we did see a bit with the ultrasound which was awesome!

Cravings/Aversions: Pasta is the closest thing I've had to a craving. I don't really crave it but it just tends to be the only thing that sounds good right off the bat other wise the food has to be in front of me before it sounds good. I'm having some aversions to textures, I ate crackers a lot at first because they were an easy snack I can carry with me but the texture of crackers or anything that is that dry just does not sound good at all!

Getting ready for baby: We got the first step done and got our attic floored last weekend so that we can begin cleaning out our extra room that has been used as storage/dog room up to this point. So now we just have to go through everything and train the dog to not be locked up in the kennel... JOY!

What I miss: Sleeping like a rock! I have always been such a hard sleeper but now I have to get up to pee at night and I have dreams that wake me up and it's just not nice! I miss my solid 8 hours of sleep! But i guess that's what naps are for and I've decided it'd god's way of preparing me to not be a hard sleep so i can hear the baby cry in the middle of the night.

What I am looking forward to: Being able to feel the baby! Right now I just have to wait till doctors appt to make sure everything is going well and I just can't wait to feel the baby and have those little reassuring kicks to know that the baby is happy in healthy!

Weekly wisdom: My husband has been the most amazing helper for me in these last few weeks and I just have to say that all of his hard work and caring words are so appreciated and I try to show him that cause I couldn't do any of this without him.

2011 Recap

I decided it would be fun to recap 2011 with some photos and just some memories from the past year. The year had its ups and downs but it was a great year overall!! Lets set the stage for where we were at this time last year. January 2011 Blaine and I still lived in our Apartment, he still worked on the air force base and I was still with the child care center in edmond. We had our Cat Bella and we're just beginning the search for a house. We were both happy with life and our jobs and just enjoying our lives together.

Because of my job at the time we got to attend our first Thunder Game. Where we both realized that while we support the Thunder we both would much rather be at a college football game!

Then a few months later we celebrated Easter! And as usual we did our celebrating with the Killebrews. Each year they put on a Massive Easter Egg Hunt and let all of us "Kids" partake, well this year it rained but did that stop us (them I should say I didn't run around in the rain) nope it sure didn't. So easter was spent hunting eggs in the rain and then with lots of hot chocolate to warm up afterwards!
Then in April we bought our First House!! We are so happy with the house we chose! It really is Home for us and we couldn't be happier! We've already made some wonderful memories in this home and we are sure there are many more to come in the passing years!

Then in May we Celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! It was hard to believe that we had already been married a year but it was a wonderful year and I wouldn't change it for the world! We spent our day enjoy our wedding cake topper which actually still tasted good and then we enjoy a nice dinner at Mickey Mantles Steak house downtown! It was a wonderful end to an amazing first year!

Then the summer rolled around and we spent an awesome Memorial day weekend in nebraska with family and those two adorable boys! At that point in the year they were the only nephews on blaine's side of the family but by the end of 2011 that is not the case :)

Then later in the summer I got to go to the AMERICAN IDOL concert with my bestest friend Michelle! OMG we had so much fun!! It had been a while since we had gone to a concert but it was a blast and we even got lots of autographs which was awesome!!

In august we celebrated Blaine and Joseph's 25th Birthdays with a big party and an awesome cake that I came up with and our favorite cake lady created! It was an amazing way to celebrate two very special men on their birthday!

And then later in August we got our adorable little guy Gibbs!! He is so much fun and we have loved having a dog in the house and just all the love and affection and protection he provides! Don't let this picture fool you because now Gibbs is bigger than some adult labs and weighs 75 pounds and he is only 7 months old! He is going to be our very BIG boy! But we love him!

I dont have a lot of pictures for fall but we spent fall traveling to Nebraska alot and enjoying time with family, throwing baby showers, and just enjoying life. October did not end well for us when we returned home from one of those trips to find our house had been broken into but we were blessed in the fact that he took nothing of value and was soon caught, like I said ups and downs this year! But anyways, In November we celebrated this little guys (Eli) 1st birthday! And we just spent a ton of time with him over the year! He is such a joy and I can't believe how big is he already!
Also in November we welcomed Ethan and Aiden (our new nephews) into the world! So now their are four nephews on Blaine's side of the family and we're still not done for the year! These little guys are just precious and we got to enjoy lots of time with them over thanksgiving and over christmas this year!
And then the Christmas season begins! We had a wonderful christmas season! Spent lots of time with family, did lots of shopping, and cooking and baking! we really are very blessed with the people we have in our lives and that is always very apparent to me around the holidays!! And of course what Christmas Season is complete with out a trip to a pretty light show with friends!

And then comes the week before christmas! We traveled to Nebraska to be with Blaine's family this christmas and we all received the most wonderful gift when Blaine's sister had her little baby girl Tempey! She is just precious and we were so glad to spend lots of snuggle time with her over the holiday!! So to just recap all the children that were added to the family this year, we had three, two nephews and one Niece now for total of four nephews and one niece on that side of the family! christmas was def. fun this year!

Since we started off with a small intro to where we were this time last year I thought we should end with a small bit of where we are now. Now we live in our wonderful home that we love, Blaine still works at the air force base and has no intention of changing that anytime soon. I now work for a nanny service in edmond and I love my job! It was a huge change for me but it has been so worth it and I am so much happier than before! So that is just a small recap of our 2011! It was a wonderful year with lots of blessings and friends! We are so thankful for all the things we got to experience this year and we are so excited for the things that 2012 has in store for us.
